Governance
There are 5 major governance principles (and 2 minor ones). All bodies, structures, officers and staff should contribute to the correct implementation of these principles:
-
Openness: active communication in an accessible language
-
Participation: the correct stakeholders, partners, involved people should be able to participate in all stages, from the development of ideas, concepts, policies to the implementation of these
-
Accountability: who is responsible for what in the organisation. Will the organisation, bodies, structures of the organisation do what they promised to do, will they deliver
-
Effectiveness: clear objectives and targets, regular evaluation and follow up of the actions, plans developed to realise the objectives
-
Coherence: on the level of the content on which an organisation is working, the direction of the work should be coherent and on the level of the methods used to achieve, implement and realise things
-
Proportionality: investment of resources to achieve certain aims and objectives should be balanced
-
Subsidiarity: right division of work between the different structures, bodies and parts of the organisation
