Employment and job opportunities are a key priority for all Governments in Europe. Although mainly a policy area that belongs to the competence of the Member States, it is also of importance to the European Union, which tries to play its role of co-ordinator, initiator and innovator. A considerable part of the EASPD membership is providing job-related services or employment to people with disabilities. Employment and job opportunities, therefore, are high on the agenda of the service providers in Europe.
In June 2009 the Standing Committee on Employment organised a conference 'Bringing People to Work'. You will find the full report and presentations on the the section past conference of the website.
