A great news from our member NASO, Bulgaria:

 

"Today, 26th of January 2012, the 41st National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria has passed a law on the ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, submitted by the Bulgarian Government on 4th of January 2012.
We are happy to inform you that with this Act the Republic of Bulgaria joins the countries rat...ified the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. With the adhesion to this international and legally binding instrument Bulgaria has clearly stated its ambition to ensure high standards in order to protect the disabled people nationwide and guarantees the full and equal exercise of their basic human rights. Further on, the Republic of Bulgaria has a commitment with regard to the effective implementation of the UN Convention on the rights of Persons with Disabilities as an EU member state, which has ratified the Convention as an independent entity in December 2010"
