EASPD (the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities) is currently looking for two Project Assistants (Internship) to work on different projects co-funded by the European Commission.
The tasks to be performed mainly include:

Administrative work linked to the projects (checking the respect of deadlines and classify incoming inputs from project partners)

Planning and organisation of events

Desktop research on specific thematic fields, in order to provide inputs related to running projects

Participation in drafting project deliverables (newsletters, reports, etc.)

Administrative Support of the Secretary General

Writing articles for the newsflash / newsletter

Assistance in drafting reports

Starting date: Starting day will be 1st March 2012
Duration: Minimum 3, preferably 6 months
Selection process: Interviews will be held through face-to-face meetings (ideally) in Brussels or through skype calls. Only the candidates having passed the first round of selection will be contacted for an interview.
Internships in the frame of the university studies will be favoured (e.g. internships validating a Master degree)
Financial conditions: The position is unpaid, but a little participation to renting and transport costs could be offered
Requested profile
Diploma/Experience:

Bachelor Degree in one (or several) of these fields: Project Management, European Studies (or equivalent), European Law, Political Science, Communications, Public Administration, Public Health or Social work

Specific experience in project management of European projects would be a strong asset
Essential skills:

Fluent written and spoken English

Excellent drafting skills in English

Ability to work under pressure and to respect deadlines

Computer literacy, especially a very good command of MS Office Word and Excel

French would be an asset
Desirable skills:

Experience in the social/health sector at European, national or local level
-
Previous experience in a NGO (as a volunteer or as an employee)
