What do I have to do in order to become a member?
If you are a service provider, providing services to persons with a disability in one of the Council of Europe Member States, we kindly ask you to:
- read our Statutes and Standing orders
- to complete the General Information Sheet and
- to sign the Letter of Commitment in which you state your commitment to the aims and principles of EASPD
The applications must be submitted with all the supporting documents to the EASPD headquarters (person in charge of Membership: Ms. Charlotte Boetticher). Once the document has been received, an invoice for the membership fee will be sent, a password for the membership only section of the website will be awarded and the email of the contact person will be put on the mailing list of EASPD to receive all future mailings. Finally, all new members will be presented at one of the two annual General Assembly meetings.
Membership fees
Membership fees from our membership are necessary in order to be able to function properly and to offer our services to our members. The fees take into account the size of the organisation as well as the wealth in the country in order to have fees that represent financial reality as much as possible. However, fees are kept as low as possible in order to allow membership to the largest amount of service providers in Europe.
In individual cases a membership agreement can be negotiated (revised yearly), where an organisation commits to do some work for EASPD in exchange of part of the membership fee (a minimum contribution of 25% of the fee will be asked). Such tasks can be: translation, research for studies, project writing, active national networking...
Please do not hesitate to contact us to get further information or to apply for membership:
