EASPD NEWS

Early childhood intervention should become a tool for inclusion

From 21st to 22nd April, EASPD organised in Chisinau, Moldova, its annual cross-sectorial conference “Growing Together: from grassroots initiatives to national strategies in early childhood intervention”. Over 200 delegates shared their views on the situation of Early Childhood Intervention services in Europe. In addition, the Zero Project Analysis research was officially launched presenting 8 innovative practices on ECI services. Read more
 

EASPD launches the animation video “Reaching Out: building an inclusive society”

During its last general assembly held in Chisinau on the 23rd April 2016, the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities officially launched its video presentation “Reaching Out: building an inclusive society”. The animation video is part of the EASPD’s activities to celebrate its 20th anniversary and explains in easy to read what EASPD does. “Together we will improve services to improve lives! Join us!”. EASPD presents its 2015 Annual Report and welcomes new members

On 23rd April 2016, the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) presented during its General Assembly in Chisinau, Moldova, its 2015 Annual Report. In addition, EASPD welcomed 14 new members from January to April 2016. Read more
 

EASPD and Zero Project joined forces to develop research and exchange knowledge

During the EASPD annual conference on inclusive education organised in Salzburg (Austria) from 22 to 23 October 2015, the Zero Research Project and EASPD signed a Memorandum of Understanding to define the terms of a new cooperation for 2016. Read more

Zero Project call for nominations 2017 on Employment

Once again, the Zero Project team invites leading experts and organizations to nominate innovative policies concerning this year’s topic “Employment”. The deadline for contributions is the 15th may 2016. Read more
 

Final call for ASSISTID Marie Sklodowska-Curie proposals 2016

ASSISTID is a € 9 M EU Marie Curie co-fund research programme which is funded by the charity RESPECT and the EU for 5 years from 2014 to 2019 and coordinated by the DOCTRID Research Institute. The programme will fund up to 40 researchers to carry out individual projects on Intellectual Disability and / or Autism, examining how Assistive Technologies can improve quality of life and inclusion. Researchers will be based in universities, industry partners and ID service providers throughout Ireland the UK, the USA and other countries. Read more

International Congress on the cooperation between VET and Sheltered Workshops as a step towards inclusive communities

The partners of the project iVET4D “Vocational Education and Training for disabled people” organise on 2nd June 2016 in Brussels, Belgium, the International Congress “Making it work together: cooperation between VET and Sheltered Workshops as a step towards inclusive communities” which will take place from 13h00 to 17h00 at Thon Hotel Brussels City Centre.
