Side event in Geneva: "How can the European Union better facilitate the changing role of support services in the implementation of the UN CRPD?
From 27 to 28 August 2015, EASPD takes part to the 14th session of the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and will follow the final assessment and examination from the UN, including a set of final recommendations addressed to the European Union. The session will be live streamed on www.treatybodywebcast.org.
In parallel to the 14th session of the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, EASPD organises a side event on "How can the European Union better facilitate the changing role of support services in the implementation of the UN CRPD?

As part of its cooperation with the United Nations (UN), EASPD is accredited to the UN Conference of State Parties – a conference that is held annually at the United Nations premises – where signatories and accredited organisations gather to look at the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities exchange views and expertise on the different Articles.
Since 2014, EASPD is following closely the EU-UN dialogue on the CRPD's implementation in the EU. We took part to the first phase of the evaluation in Geneva in April by presenting:
