From 7 to 8 May 2015, the conference “Persons with Disabilities in Employment: Inclusion through Jobs - Making it Real” will showcase best practices from across Europe on employment and disability. All participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences and best practices during the different thematic workshops which will take place Thursday 7 May from 14:30-16:00.
What may happen during the thematic workshops?
No formal presentations will be given. The goal is to share experiences and involve everybody. 7 Round tables will be placed in the conference room and people can move from one table to the other, which gives the opportunity to take part in more than one workshop. For the Croatian and German speaking participants, the workshop groups will have to be more creative in trying to support each other with the translations.
Each of the round tables will focused on one particular Job sector (area):
Area 1 – White collar sector
Area 2 – ICT sector
Area 3– Industrial sector
Area 4 – Creative industry (Arts, design & Sports)
Area 5 – Agricultural & gardening sector
Area 6 – Hotel & catering sector
Area 7 – Social sector
Area 8 - From School / (Vocational) Training to Employment
In short, the afternoon will reflect on innovative ideas on inclusive employment where all participants can take part in an interactive way. During these round tables, testimonies from employers as well as employees and trainees will be given, grouped according to the sector of employment. At the end of the day all will have the opportunity to report back during the panel discussions.
