European Union's Civil Justice Programme from DG Justice
2 January 2017 - 30 Juin 2019
The aim is to help people with learning disabilities to know what sexual exploitation is, what it looks like in action, what to do about it if it is happening to them or a friend and how to report it. A strong emphasis is on empowering people to keep themselves safe rather than simply concentrating on risk factors. Research shows that people respond better to messages about what they can do rather than what they should not do.
