To inaugurate the New Year, EASPD announces the new working structure of its Secretariat that was approved by its Executive Committee and Board in 2015.  Read more

 

Registration for the next EASPD Conference “Growing together” in Chisinau is now open!

EASPD organizes in cooperation with the Alliance of Organisations for People with Disabilities from Moldova and with the support of EurlyAid, Zero Project, Inclusion Europe, Unicef Moldova and SOIR Moldova is organising, the 21st-22nd April 2016, an international conference in Chisinau, Moldova on the state of play of early childhood intervention in Europe. Save the date! EASPD 20th anniversary celebration “Join the Trip! 20 Years on the Road”

In 2016, EASPD celebrates its 20th anniversary. Under the slogan “Join the Trip! 20 Years on the Road”, EASPD will organise exciting events and activities which will bring service providers, persons with disabilities, decision makers and other partners and stakeholders together in Brussels. Registration still open for EASPD training "Building a School for All" in Rome

The 2016 EASPD training course offers a framework to develop and promote inclusive education, as well as a hands-on experience in the planning of such an approach. The programme will cover topics such us the implementation of article 24 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, inclusion and inclusive education in your country, the principles of universal design for learning and reasonable accommodation, among others. Call for entries: EASPD Photo Competition – Deadline: 27th March 2016

In the run-up to its 20th anniversary, the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) launches the photo competition Revealed & Unveiled. The photo competition wishes to highlight the work of service providers for persons with disabilities across Europe.  Read more

The House of Representatives of the Netherlands postpones the debate on the ratification of the UN Convention to 2016

The House of Representatives of the Netherlands has postponed the debate on the ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) to 2016. Even though the coalition in government decided to ratify the Convention, the debate from December 2015 did not finished in the House of Representatives and is still ongoing. The Dutch government explains this by arguing that there are still plans to be put in place before the ratification. Read more

 

EP Written Declaration on Promoting Inclusive Education Systems in Europe

The European Network on Inclusive Education and Disability supported the Written Declaration: Promoting inclusive education systems in Europe that gathered from 7 September to 7 December 2015 the signatures of 263 Members of the European Parliament. Read more

Support the Entelis Manifesto!

On the 12th and 13th of November 2015, The National Federation of voluntary Bodies Providing Services to People with Intellectual Disabilities hosted an Entelis seminar in Dublin, Ireland. Over these 2 days, the Entelis partnership finalized and launched the Entelis Manifesto.Read more
 

Save the date! 2016 ICCHP Conference in Austria

The 2016 International Conference on Computer helping persons with special needs (ICCHP) will be held from 13 to 15 July 2016 in Linz, Austria. The partners of the ENTELIS network organise a special session within the framework of the conference. Read more

Conference in Bratislava on the Labor Market and Social Integration of Youth with Disabilities

The right to employment is universal and ending poverty among people with disabilities is the main goal of the project “Poverty and Employment”, carried out by the organization Tenenet and supported by EEA Grants and Norway Grants. Within the framework of that project, Tenenet organised a conference that took place on the 24-25 November 2015, to present the main outcomes of the project. Read more
 

Save the date: The Open Discovery Space Academy, 3 - 8July 2016, in Attica, Greece

Registration for the summer training courses organised by the Open Discovery Space Academy is now open. The 2016 training courses will be held in Marathon (Greece) from 3 to 8 July and will be focused on innovation, creativity and inclusive learning methods. These training courses are addressed to teachers, education practitioners, educational professionals and other staff working in schools and education centers. Read more
