EASPD officially launches its Salzburg Education Declaration “Towards more inclusive learning environments in Europe”. The text acknowledges the necessity to strengthen efforts in order to make real the principle of inclusive education, which is highlighted in several International and European legal and policy frameworks. EASPD Photo Competition – Deadline: 27th March 2016

In the run-up to its 20th anniversary, the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) launches the photo competition Revealed & Unveiled. The photo competition wishes to highlight the work of service providers for persons with disabilities across Europe.  Read more

TEACH Conference in Granada on improving learning of pupils in June 2016

The partners of the TEACH project, invite you to their end conference in Granada, 09/06 – 10/06/2016. The TEACH-project wants to make a bridge between theory and practice, between knowledge organisations and the educational field. There is a lot of research on what works to improve the learning of pupils and improve assessment but we need more active knowledge transfer from theory to practice. Read more
 

European Women’s Lobby: “it’s time for society cares for women”

On the International Women’s Day, the European Women’s Lobby launched a new campaign called “Together we can make it happen, Equal Pension Rights for Women Now!” and the campaign draws attention to the unacceptable sexism that women face particularly in the job sector. Read more

We are pleased to announce that the conference of the project “For Quality” will take place on the 23rd of March 2016 at the European Economic and Social Committee, Brussels. Read more
 

The project of the month by the European Commission's ADAM database

The project “EQF meets ECVET” was recognized as the project of the month by the ADAM database this February 2016. ADAM database is the portal of the European Commission​ for Leonardo da Vinci projects and products. Read more

 

FROM OUR MEMBERS

1,000 young people with a learning disability and/or autism to gain employment from new £10m five year project

EASPD member organisation Learning Disability Wales has been awarded a £10m grant to boost the employment prospects of young people in Wales with a learning disability and / or learning difficulty, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Read more
 

Unapei calls on the French authorities to stop the financial cuts in the disability movement

The French Northern Department wants to lower the financial assistance for the disability sector by € 10 million over three years following the same policy applied by the region of Essonne which announced earlier this year not be able to proceed to the payment of social assistance. The Unapei wants to end this dramatic series of laws and calls on the national authorities to organise a consultation involving all the organizations representing people with disabilities and all funders of national solidarity policy.
