The European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) is therefore organizing a Roundtable discussion with key stakeholders to debate:
1. How to put in practice the Annual Growth Survey’s priority given to tackling the high levels of unemployment of persons with disabilities through the Semester
2. To develop concrete steps to ensure that EU employment policies (Youth Guarantee, Council recommendation to tackle long-term unemployment and the European Solidarity Corps) are inclusive for persons with disabilities; in particular but not only through adequate support measures
The event will also be the opportunity to present EASPD’s 2016 European Semester report on “Developing Inclusive Labour Markets through the European Semester” and an independent study we commissioned looking into the “cost-benefits of developing more inclusive labour markets”. The researcher –Prof. Stephen Beyer- will be attending.
