Call for Tenders - External evaluation of EASPD 2016 Work Programme

EASPD is looking for an external evaluator to assess the performance of the organisation in delivering on its 2016 work programme in the framework of its operating grant co-financed through the EaSI Programme. More concretely, the tasks to be performed are monitoring specific developments (outputs /outcomes) within each priority area and analysis on how to extend EASPD cooperation with research and academic actors. SAVE THE DATE. First World Conference on Supported Employment in Belfast

From 14 to 16 June 2017 the European Union of Supported Employment and the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities will host in Belfast the first World Conference on Supported Employment. A dedicated website and a call for papers to be launched in September 2016. Read more

New guidance on local public support measures that do not constitute state aid

European State Aid laws are important for social services, in particular insofar as they regulate how and the amount of support social services can receive without distorting fair competition rules. The European Commission has recently established that five public measures for purely local operations in Spain, Germany and Portugal involve no state aid because they are unlikely to affect trade between Member States. This has led to the European Commission to announce that Member States always have full autonomy to decide and invest state funds. Read more
 

Juncker announces the creation of a European Solidarity Corps

On the 14th September 2016, Mr Juncker, President of the European Commission announced the creation of a European Solidarity Corps. In the state of the union address, he stated that “(t) here are many young, socially-minded people in Europe willing to make a meaningful contribution to society and help show solidarity”. How the European Commission can make a European Pillar of Social Rights fit for children

The EU Alliance for Investing in Children welcomes the European Commission’s proposal for a European Pillar of Social Rights, and its aspiration to achieve a “social triple-A rating” by re-balancing the EU’s existing prioritisation of financial and economic concerns with social issues. Call for Nominations: Good Practices for Employees with Disability 2016 – Deadline: 30.09.2016

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) the Brazilian State Secretariat for the Rights of the Person with Disability (SEDPcD) holds an international edition of the award entitled Global Recognition “Good Practices for Employees with Disability”.
