How we are run

Our office is in Brussels, in Belgium.

We are independent. This means no other organisation tells us what we should do. Our members decide what we should do.
Our members are organisations who provide services to disabled people in Europe.

We are democratic. This means that our members vote on how the EASPD is run and they take part in jobs to help run the EASPD.

We have 3 groups of people who make choices about our work and the way we do things. They are:
  • the executive committee
  • the board
  • the general assembly.
They make sure that the EASPD is run well.
We have different groups of people called special interest groups, and standing committees.
These groups look at issues that are important to disabled people, so they can help make things better.
