ACCESS Delivers! Project Update

In today’s rapidly developing world, where digitisation and technology stand at the forefront of how we communicate, use services and complete everyday tasks, our ability to confidently and safely use the internet and technology is  vital to ensure our participation in our communities and our ability to find employment.
For many individuals however, the use of Information and Communications Technology poses another barrier to their full and active participation in society. To support individuals with learning disabilities, to develop basic English and IT skills the ACCESS project has developed a number of training materials aimed at both trainers and learners.
Launched in 2017, this Erasmus+ project has brought together project partners from Hungary, Sweden, Slovenia and the United Kingdom, with the aim to develop and implement specially designed training programs for persons with intellectual disabilities, in the fields of basic spoken English and basic IT knowledge in order to consolidate and strengthen the position of these people on the open labour market, improve their employability, reduce their social isolation and allow them to make friends and communicate with people in other countries using their basic English skills.
Now in its third year the project has launched its third newsletter, to share with you their learning materials and what you can learn from their experiences.
