EASPD, in cooperation with the projects EQF meets ECVET, INVESTT and TIDE is organising the conference “Inclusive teaching programmes: Let's develop it together! The conference will showcase a selection of best practices in developing inclusive teaching programmes for persons with disabilities. Read more
EASPD in Geneva: the EU could have the key to successful implementation of the UN CRPD
During the 2nd part of the Constructive Dialogue between the European Union and the United Nations taking place in Geneva on the 27-28 August 2015, the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) organised a side event to present the role of support services in the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD). The European Disability Forum (EDF) has announced a scholarship, funded by Oracle, for the academic period 2015-2016, for students with disabilities studying in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, User Experience, or related fields. The European conference "Inclusive practices for young children with multiple and severe disabilities: challenges for families and professionals in ECI?" is organised by Dr M. Martinet AIR Besançon, J.J. Detraux CEFES, R. Scelles (University of Nanterre) in collaboration with EAECI - Eurlyaid and with the support of UNAPEI, APF, CESAP and ANECAMSP. Read more

AJuPID: Towards access to justice and full legal capacity for people with an intellectual disability in Europe
The partners of the project AJuPID - Access to justice for people with intellectual disabilities - co-financed by the European Union and coordinated by FEGAPEI recently published a research report, which highlights the interdependence of policy and legal protection's legislation on the one hand, and access to justice for people on the other. Deinstitutionalisation: a lever for inclusion of disabled people
UNAPEI, member organisation of EASPD, has recently published a position paper on deinstitutionalisation (DI) in France. The document was officially presented in a seminar held the 26 June 2015 in Paris. According to UNAPEI, the DI process “should help people with disabilities to gain or regain control of their lives as full citizens”. Read more
ICSS presents the first results on supported employment's needs in Bulgaria
EASPD member, The Institute for Community-based Social Services Foundation (ICSS) presents the first results of a study on the needs in Bulgaria on support for inclusive employment. Read more
Readiness of children and young people with special needs for the labour market in Slovakia
The Slovak EASPD member organisation TENENET has elaborated a research paper on the level of readiness of children and young people with special needs for the labour market in Slovakia. Read more

17-18 September. 'Play, Learn, Grow’: Training on Early Intervention
The training course aims to develop the understanding and expertise of teachers, trainers, headmasters and staff on early intervention for persons with disabilities. The course provides a certificate delivered by a European training organisation. Read more
22 – 23 October. EASPD International Salzburg Conference
Each educational framework and each learning environment is unique, and it is difficult to develop a common strategy on how to develop an inclusive education. EASPD, in cooperation with the projects EQF meets ECVET, INVESTT and TIDE, will showcase a selection of best practices in developing inclusive teaching programmes for persons with disabilities.
