On September 21, 2015, the DELAROSE Project held its final conference, entitled "E-Dimension of Staff Development in the Disability Services Sector" in Brussels, Belgium. The event was organized by the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities’ (EASPD) and was focused on ICT solutions for human resources development in the disability services sector, including tools allowing care workers manage their work-related stress.
The conference aimed to:
- Encourage development for social care workers through ICT to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities;
- Raise awareness of the importance of stress management skills among social care workers;
- Promote knowledge sharing;
- Exchange best practices.
Joining the DELAROSE team on the day were expert speakers from the disability services sector, including Mr Luk Zelderloo, Secretary General of EASPD and Mr James Churchill, President of the Board of the European Care Certificate, as well as Mr Carlo Scatoli, Team Leader of the Vocational Training and Adult Learning Unit, DG Education and Culture, and Ms Gloria Ortiz, EU Project Manager at IPERIA L’Institut.
