Ensuring an inclusive EU Recovery

12 February 2021 – 17h  CET

The COVID-19 pandemic has led the global economy to struggle with low to negative growth and rapidly increasing unemployment. Countries around the world are currently preparing for the economic recovery. In Europe, the European Union is playing an important role in this regard; having recently agreed to a €1.8 trillion recovery budget. The EU wants to make sure the EU recovery is inclusive and leaves no one behind. For this reason, the EU has an ambitious social policy agenda for the years to come.
Co-hosted by the EASPD and the European Foundation Centre, this session will be the opportunity to hear from top level representatives from the European institutions on how they plan to ensure an inclusive recovery in the European Union, as well as commentary from international experts
