European Commission launches public consultation on the integration of long-term unemployed into the labour market

The European Commission has launched a public consultation to gather views on the measures proposed in the Council Recommendation on the integration of the long-term unemployed into the labour market (2016/C 67/01) and on their implementation, as well as to shed light on future possible action to support the long-term unemployed.

Using the results of the consultation the commission will report to the Council, on the actions taken by Member States and the Commission to implement the Recommendation, in early 2019.

All citizens, organisations and public authorities are welcome to respond to this consultation by 31st July 2018.

In particular, the consultation seeks to gather views from individual citizens, in their personal or professional capacity, civil society organisations working on the issue of long-term unemployment as well as employment and social services providers, employers and public authorities at both national and local level.

You can submit your response to this call using the online questionnaire, available in 23 languages. Follow the link below to view the questionnaire and find out more.
