EASPD releases a report on the Accessibility Act
The European association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities publishes its official position with regard to the European Accessibility Act, which was launched by the European Commission in December 2015. Read more
10 Recommendations to unlock Structural Funds for support services
EASPD announces its newest report aiming to support the work carry out within the European institutions to simplify access to EU funding. The report, developed by an independent expert, presents key recommendations from service providers in seven EU countries on how to enhance access to the European Structural and Investment Funds. EASPD Photo Competition – Deadline: 27th March 2016
In the run-up to its 20th anniversary, the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) launches the photo competition Revealed & Unveiled. The photo competition wishes to highlight the work of service providers for persons with disabilities across Europe. Read more

Current social inclusion for persons with disabilities in Belgium
Belgium needs to speed up the social inclusion of persons with disabilities and improve the provision of individualised support services. This year the Commissioner for Human Rights published a report and the report urges Belgium government to give priority to inclusive education and improve measures and services in order to enhance the quality of daily life for disabled persons. European Commission collects the views of people with intellectual disabilities
The European Commission is running a public consultation on the midterm review of the European Disability Strategy 2010-2020. In parallel to this online public consultation, the EC has prepared with the support of Inlusion Europe an Easy-to-Read version of the consultation. Read more
Members of the European Parliament echo calls from civil society, public service providers and workers to fully exclude public services from trade agreements
Social Platform, the European Centre of Employers and Enterprises providing Public Services (CEEP), the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and the European Federation of Public Service Unions (EPSU) welcome the adoption [on 3rd February] of a European Parliament resolution calling for the full exclusion of public services in the Trade in Services Agreement (TiSA) and future trade deals. Public services are vital for social cohesion, sustainable growth and job creation. Read more
The Commission announces the winners of 2015 European Social Innovation Competition
The winners of the 2015 European Social Innovation Competition were announced and awarded on 21 January 2016.The next competition will be launched in Amsterdam on 25 February 2016. Read more
Open Call: Marie Curie ASSISTID programme 2016
The Marie Curie ASSISTID programme announces the opening of the 2016 Call for fellowships applications. The call will be open until 30th June 2016. Read more

Support the Entelis Manifesto!
On the 12th and 13th of November 2015, The National Federation of voluntary Bodies Providing Services to People with Intellectual Disabilities hosted an Entelis seminar in Dublin, Ireland. Over these 2 days, the Entelis partnership finalized and launched the Entelis Manifesto.Read more

Seminar on developing and teaching intercultural competences
From 2 to 4 March 2016, the Cohehre Academy and the University of VIC organise a seminar in Barcelona (Spain) on developing an teaching intercultural competences. The deadline for registrations is the 20th February 2016. The seminar aims to develop teaching and learning strategies on how to promote cultural awareness. During the seminar other topics will be addressed such as poverty and social exclusion and immigration in Europe. The seminar is also an opportunity for participants to networking. Read more
