The Declaration on Planning Inclusive Communities is ready!
This Declaration is the result of the EASPD's annual conference celebrated in Siegen (Germany) The Declaration provides recommendations and guidelines from local stakeholders and partners on the correct implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) to decision-makers at European, national and local levels. Save the date! Training on inclusive education "Building a school for all"
EASPD's Standing Committee on Education organises a training course aiming at developing understanding and expertise of teachers, trainers, headmasters and school staff on inclusive education for persons with disabilities. Read more
Project Development Workshop: EU financial opportunities 2014-2020 and 5 new project proposals
Every year, EASPD organises a Project Development Workshop where participants can deepen their knowledge on the EU funding opportunities available to develop new projects in the disability filed and the social sector. This year the newly launched EU funding programmes were presented and all participants split in different working groups to share ideas on new possible project proposals to be developed in the coming months. EASPD presents the "Reaching Out Strategy" working plan during the June events
From 18 to 19 June 2014, the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) held the Executive Committee (Ex Com) meeting, the Board meeting and a General Assembly. A highlight of the Ex Com meeting was the participation of Mrs. Maria-Luisa Cabral, the new Head of the Unit on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the European Commission (EC). During the meeting, the members of the Executive Committee presented to Mrs. Cabral EASPD's work and discussed the strategic areas in which we can cooperate with the EC. Read more
What has the EU done to implement the UN CRPD?
The European Commission (EC) recently published its report on the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD). This document evaluates the actions and legislation made by the European Union's institutions to comply with the Convention's requirements and recommendations. Read more
EASPD represents the European service providers' sector for persons with disabilities at the United Nations in New York
Since its accreditation last year, the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) has the chance, for the first time, to take part into the debates and present its expertise in social service provision in the 7th Session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) in New York. ACTIVITIES OF OUR MEMBERS
EASPD and NASO meet the Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policy
During the meeting paticipants discussed the key issues for the social sector such us the de-institutionalisation process in Bulgaria, the future development of the law on social services, the development of quality standards for social services and the establishment of a partnership between the Bulgarian government and the civil society's organisations to participate in the European Semester process. Have you ever heard about the Tunyogi Game Therapy?
The Tunyogi Game Therapy (TGT) is performed by the Hungarian Tunyogi Early Intervention Center (TEIC) and is primarily for infants, toddlers and small children with disabilities due to central nervous system damage or genetic disorders. Read more

ON THE AGENDA
Annual Conference 2014 - Norway
The European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) together with the Nordic Centre for Welfare and Social Issues (NVC), the Norwegian SOR Foundation and the partners of PUSH Europe: FEANTSA, CECODHAS and MHE are organising an international conference on the development of homes and housing services for persons with disabilities, persons with mental health problems, homeless people and people in need of housing support. The conference will take place in Oslo on 9th and 10th October 2014. The deadline for registration is the 11th of September. Read more
