The DESC project will have its closing event on the 21st of June in Brussels. The event will consist of a policy debate on developing successful employment strategies.Read more

SOLIDAR Silver Rose Awards 2017 | Call for nominations

Since the year 2000 SOLIDAR organises annually its Silver Rose Awards in the European Parliament in cooperation with the S&D Group and the Party of European Socialists (PES), an occasion to celebrate Civil Society Organisations and individuals whose extraordinary struggles contribute greatly to social justice and solidarity throughout the world. This year's edition will take place on 10 October 2017 in the European Parliament in Brussels. Read more

Civil Society Days 2017-The Europe we  Strive for!26-27 June 2017. 

“The Europe we strive for!" will organize a civil society's call for a new political impulse to relaunch the EU based on our values and roots, and give a clear commitment for civil society organisations to forge ahead. Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker has put forward, in his white paper on the future of Europe, 5 scenarios for an EU at 27, hoping to stir a debate leading to the European Council meeting of December 2017 and to relaunch the European project. Read more



Vision’s 20th Anniversary celebrations are taking place this week.

Our member from Bulgaria Agency for Social Development- Vision” is celebrating its 20th Anniversary. EASPD President James Crowe will be present in the celebrations. Check their website


Slezská Diakonie is hosting an EASPD’s country visit in Czech Republic.

The visit took place on the 7th of June and had two main topics: investment in social services and the connection between the education and  job opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities. See their website

The Portuguese Song Festival for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities is being organised by ARCIL

This Festival had as objective the selection of the representative of Portugal in the European Song Festival for persons with intellectual disabilities. ARCIL decided to continue hosting a National Festival to select a national winner. Read more
