EASPD & European Commission cooperation leads to inclusive Recommendations.

The Country Specific Recommendations outline the Commission’s perspective on the major economic challenges in each Member State.  The European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) welcomes the stronger emphasis on responding to social challenges and the progress made by the European Commission towards better engagement with civil society in finding adequate solutions. Read more

Registrations for the Civil Society Days  2017 – “The Europe we strive for!” are now open.

The event, hosted by the European Economic and Social Committee, will take place in Brussels from 26-27 June and will count with the presence of Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. Deadline to register is 21 June. Read more

IncluEDdu Projet Event: “How Tablets are changing Education for All” – Free Event.

On the 8th and 9th June, the IncludeEdu project will host an event in Brussels. The event will introduce participants to the key outcomes of our 3-Year European Project funded by the Erasmus+ Programme (KA2) of the European Commission. IncluEdu created an innovative, European-wide, modularised further education programme for, and network of, education providers by capitalizing on the huge potential of tablets for wider inclusion of learners with special educational needs (SEN).Read more

European Network of Cultural Centres organised event “RETHINKING CULTURAL PARTICIPATION”.

University of Valencia organises Third international conference on innovative technologies for autism spectrum disorders.

 The conference will take place from the 30th June to the 2nd of July in Valencia, Spain. This edition of ITASD is open to projects on a wide range of topics stressing the practical and functional aspects of technology. Read more


Study on the sexual and reproductive health and rights of girls with disabilities - Call for submissions

For her next report to the General Assembly, 72nd session, the Special Rapporteur on the rights of persons with disabilities, Ms. Catalina Devandas Aguilar, intends to focus on the sexual and reproductive health and rights of girls with disabilities. Read more

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, in partnership with the Vaclav Havel Library and the Charta 77 Foundation, is currently accepting nominations for the Václav Havel Human Rights Prize, which rewards civil society action in defending Human Rights in Europe and beyond. A Successful Seminar: “Capacity-building on advancing and monitoring the implementation of UN CRPD for civil society organisations” 

For three days, more than 20 representatives of active civil society organizations in Moldova were present at this seminar, conducted as part of the EuropeAid project “Advancing and monitoring the rights of people with mental disabilities in neuro-psychiatric residential institutions”. Our Policy Manager Sabrina Ferraina and our Membership Officer Adriana Popa were among the speakers.Read more
