The OECD states that almost one-fifth of students may develop a special educational need during their schooling years, making it vital for all school systems to place inclusion at their foundation. Despite these statistics, for many pupils and learners with disabilities access to education in mainstream schools is still far from being the reality and many national school systems are not fully inclusive. To make inclusion a reality mainstream schools often require external support that can facilitate their transition towards fully inclusive educational settings.
EASPD’s latest lunchtime webinar, hosted by its Standing Committee on Education, will explore European Support Models and their contribution to facilitating the transition towards inclusive education. The webinar will provide participants with the opportunity to learn more about the support models present in four different European countries, discuss and exchange ideas and apply these experiences to their own countries.
The Webinar will take place on Thursday 29th November at 12-1:30pm CET.
