All learners, including those with a disability, have the right to equal opportunities and access to a high-quality education, that enables them to maximize their potential and fully participate in society.
For many schools however, transitioning towards the full inclusion of all learners can appear a daunting task.
Over the last three years, the partners of the Implementing Inclusion in Schools Project (IIIS) have worked together, to help schools find their individual path to becoming as inclusive to as many pupils as possible, regardless of special needs, poverty, migration background or other issues.
As the project draws to an end, the partners of the IIIS project invite schools to our closing conference on 4th June 2019 at the University of Ghent, to share their experiences of the project and to together discuss the steps that can be taken to start, steer, implement inclusion.
Via a number of interactive workshops this event will provide an opportunity for participants to explore how their schools can promote the full inclusion of all learners, with the support of the project’s training guide and modules.
