From 31st August to 8th September 2019 the University of Siegen’s Centre for Planning and Evaluation of Social Services will host their International Summer School: "Planning and Development of Inclusive Communities." The week-long course, which is open to B.A., M.A. and doctoral candidates, will cover a number of topics and provide participants with the opportunity to implement what they have learnt via a group project.
Addressing topics including:
- The UN CRPD and it's local implementation;
- Planning Dimensions in the Concept of Inclusive Communities;
- Digitalization - Challenges for Social Services;
- How to step into planning practice;
The course will focus on approaches for the implementation of the UN CRPD in municiplatiies. Based on the results of the Erasmus+ “Connecting Inclusive Social Planning, Community Development and Service Provision For Persons With Disabilities” (CISCOS) project, lecturers from different countries will provide the opportunity to learn from best-practice examples of socio-spatial planning.
