The draft roadmap for the evaluation to review the Web Accessibility Directive, due by June 2022, has been published on the Have Your Say portal.
The Web Accessibility Directive aims to make public-sector websites and mobile applications in the EU more accessible to the public, particularly for people with disabilities. It also sets standard requirements for web accessibility products and services across the EU.
Such roadmaps set out the purpose and scope of the evaluation whilst serving as a first communication with stakeholders who may later provide evidence to the evaluation, wish to use its findings and/or provide feedback on the roadmap that may affect the evaluation’s design.
We therefore strongly encourage you to contribute by offering your views on the Commission's understanding of the problem and possible solutions and sharing of relevant information.
The feedback period closes on Tuesday, 8 December 2020 so don’t miss out!
