NATIONAL PROVIDER FORUM
Innovation and integrated approach in services intended for people with disabilities
The Dizabnet Forum’s work began on Wednesday, 2014, November 26 when Andreia Moraru, development director of Alpha Transilvana Foundation welcomed the 85 representatives of private and public service providers, of most important organizations of persons with disabilities from all over the country and highlighted the need of networking for information exchange and advocacy in the field of social service providers especially for disabled persons. The core message was that only together public and private service providers can have a greater impact on their beneficiaries and highlighted that Dizabnet proved during 2014 that it may be one way to join forces.
On the first day of the session, different ways of developing innovative services were presented and discussed, as well as innovative development approaches of social services in communities following deinstitutionalization. Disabnet Forum continued on the next day with the presentation of the work of EASPD impacting European as well as national politics. The European Semester was presented and discussed to introduce to the participants how to use and benefit from this mechanism at the Romanian level.
