Main Objectives:

The overall objective of SensAge is to become the reference point within the European institutions for developments regarding lifelong learning and enablement for ageing people with sensory disabilities to maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

As such, the project aims to contribute to appropriate EU standards of support for lifelong learning for beneficiaries, to maximise the impact of the work achieved through political lobbying at both European and National Levels.

Main Outcomes:
  • To reach a common definition of what “ageing” means, its link with sensory disabilities, the resulting challenges in practice, law and public policy, as well as the potential interactions with other disabilities.
  • The creation of a web portal for the gathering, exchange and dissemination of practices and materials in this field.
  • Through all appropriate means of dissemination, to maximise on an ongoing basis the impact of the work of the Network at European and National levels
  • To establish the sustainability of the work of the Network after the completion of the period of EC funding.
