Project partners of Sign and Sound Theatre Europe came together on the 18th and 19th of October 2018 in Lisbon to participate in an open workshop that aimed to help participants discover the new inclusive technique of bilingual theatre.
The afternoon session was led by actor and one of the art directors of the project, Eero Enqvist, and questioned the way we as humans tend to communciate. Eero also wrote the theatre play 'Kukunor', which is being produced and showcased in each partner country.
During the weekend, Portuguese project partners Vo'Arte performed their unique and adapted version of the orginal play together with CiM- dance company, an inclusive dance company they created. It was a full house at the theatre on both nights and the results of their months of rehearsals paid off as they delivered a moving piece of bilingual theatre. Well done!
Sign and Sound Theatre Europe's main aim is to promote deaf theatre all over Europe, particularly in the inclusive bilingual theatre format.
