The T-EST Project: Transfer of Employment Support Tools for People with Disabilities

Following the European Disability Strategy 2010-2020, organisations from 6 different countries engaged in the Transfer of Employment Support Tools for People with Disabilities (T-EST) project, under the auspices of the Leonardo Da Vinci transfer of Innovation program. This project will run until October 2014 with a mission to contribute to the full accessibility to education as well as to the labour market for people with disabilities.

In its strategic orientation EASPD has committed itself to implementing the UN convention of rights for persons with disabilities (UNCRPD) and we have been working very hard towards this target by constantly developing social services. Annual Growth Survey 2014 and Policy Roadmap for the 2013-2014 implementation of the Social Investment Package, first assessment

This very productive November witnessed also the publication of two key documents: the Annual Growth Survey 2014 and the Policy Roadmap for the 2013-2014 implementation of the Social Investment Package (SIP). EU Budget, structural funds and new programmes starting in 2014 have been approved!

The last weeks have been busy for the European Parliament. On 19 November the EU Parliament adopted the new European budget from 2014 until 2020. The main areas of expenditure will be the Common Agricultural Policy and Rural Development, Cohesion funding, and research and innovation. The day after, the Regulation on the European Social Fund as well as the Common Provision Regulations for the European Structural and Investment Funds were adopted.
