Katerina Tsaligopoulou elected as new EASPD Board Member!

Following its latest General Assembly in Bucharest, Romania on 18th May, EASPD would like to congratulate and welcome Katerina Tsaligopoulou from Vocational Training Centre Margarita in Greece to her new position as EASPD Board Member. Elected by the members of the General Assembly (GA) Katerina will join EASPD’s other Board Members in their role to represent the EASPD membership and organisation. Upon her election Katerina affirmed her commitment to working with all EASPD members.

EASPD and KVPS invite you to Helsinki for the next EASPD Autumn Conference  'Staff Matters! Disability Workforce of Tomorrow'.

The conference will focus on the topics of recruitment, retention and training of social care & support workforce in the context of the growing demand for service delivery in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD). Conference participants will discuss and share best practices on how to manage human resources to facilitate the implementation of the UN CRPD.

ANED releases a report on the right to live independently and to be included in the community in the European States

The Academic Network of European Disability Experts (ANED) has published a thematic report about the progress being made across Europe to respect, protect and ensure the rights of persons with disabilities to live independently and to be included in the community. It is based upon studies that were carried out in early 2019 by ANED country experts in 35 European States.
