The project redefining the tourism industry for all holidaymakers
As the summer season approaches and school holidays kick in, we’re all hustling and bustling to make memorable holiday plans. This year, the In-Tour project has taken a groundbreaking step towards making summer getaways more inclusive and accessible for all.
Inclusive tourism is a social right that should be accessible to all citizens. However, the demand for accessible services often surpasses the supply in the tourism sector.
Recognising this disparity, the In-Tour project, an Erasmus+ initiative, brought together partners from six European countries to develop European curricula for inclusive tourism professions. By equipping professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge through the developed curricula, the project aims to meet the growing demand for accessible services.
After successfully completing the pilot action of the European Curricula on Inclusive Tourism Manager and Inclusive Tourism Frontline Staff in Greece, Italy, and Germany, the project is revolutionising the way we approach tourism.
Through its efforts, In-Tour has set a benchmark for accessible tourism practices and paved the way for further advancements in the industry. It has fostered a workforce capable of meeting the diverse needs of holidaymakers, promoting social inclusion and enhancing the overall tourism experience.
Let's embrace this positive change and work towards a future where inclusive tourism becomes the norm, making sure everyone gets to enjoy the bliss and adventure of summer breaks.
