EASPD welcomes new Executive Committee and Board during online elections

On 16th October the General Assembly of the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities’ (EASPD) elected a new Executive Committee and Board via a new online election process. The 18 new members of the Board will serve a four-year mandate and will represent the General Assembly in supporting the work of the association, and in achieving its strategic objectives.
 

New EU Investment Programme : No Guarantees for Social Services

After the limited impact of the Coronavirus Response Investment Initiative on social inclusion, the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities calls the EU institutions to take concrete action to ensure the new Recovery and Resilience Facility mproves access to social services in the years to come, especially in response to the huge impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the sector, its workers and beneficiaries.

Stronger cooperation is needed to support Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership support services

EASPD’s webinar of 17th June addressed the needs of disability services in non-EU Member States. The COVID-19 pandemic has had detrimental effects on non-EU member States, particularly in the Balkans and in the countries of the Eastern Partnership, where the traditionally weaker social care systems have been put under threat.
