The UN Committee on the rights of persons with disabilities has published an annotated outline on Living independently and being included in the community: Guidelines on deinstitutionalization of persons with disabilities, including in emergency situations. They will also give effect to the right of persons with disabilities to live independently and be included in the community (Article 19 of the UN CRPD).

A draft version will be published by the end of 2021 with a call for written submissions to all interested stakeholders. You may read the outline here and find more information on the Committee’s website: OHCHR | Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
