Lessons learnt a year on: Civil society and authorities working together to support Ukrainian refugees with disabilities

24th February 2023 marked one year since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation’s Forces. Since then, civil society organisations across Europe have responded quickly to provide emergency humanitarian support to those who need it, including persons with disabilities. Many of these civil society organisations have relied on their own resources to be able to provide this essential support, creating additional pressures on their daily operations.
As the war on Ukraine enters its second year, it is crucial EASPD is hosting this webinar to:
- Raise awareness for the work of civil society organisations to provide essential humanitarian assistance to persons with disabilities and their families who have been displaced.
- Explore the way forward for greater cooperation between civil society and authorities to ensure the sustainability of this support to those who still need it.
Real-time captioning in English and interpretation in Ukranian will be provided.
