Commissioner Thyssen gives statement for International Workers' Day

Following the celebration of International Workers’ Day, Commissioner Thyssen took stock of the progress made by the EU to improve workers’ rights. As part of the work to deliver the European Pillar of Social Rights, the commissioner celebrated the adoption of new rules on work-life balance and the adoption of the European Disability Act. European Commission makes recommendations for the EU’s next strategic agenda 2019-2024

The European Commission has set out a number of policy recommendations for how Europe can shape its future in an increasingly multipolar and uncertain world. This was done ahead of the meeting of EU27 leaders in Sibiu, Romania on 9th May, 2019. The Sibiu summit was called for by President Juncker in his 2017 State of the Union address, when he unveiled a roadmap for a more united, stronger and more democratic Union.

Save the date! PESSIS+ Project Final Conference

The PESSIS+ project aimed to strengthen the capacity of the Federation of European Social Employers in view of their participation in European Social Dialogue structures.

PESSIS+ also helped to further understand how social dialogue is organised across Europe and to explore needs and challenges of employers and workforce in the sector. This was achieved through extensive research and stakeholder meetings, both at national and EU level.
