This year EASPD will celebrate 25 years of representing the disability services sector at a European level. To mark the occasion EASPD host their international ‘‘The future is now: Person Centred Technology to empower people and disability services’ between 13th -14th October, 2021. The conference will be held in person, in Brussels, and will have a number of plenary sessions and workshops alongside a technology fair.

Digitalisation and technology have impacted our lives massively, especially since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. As we move forward and adapt our lives to the world of opportunities provide by technological advancements it is important to make it inclusive. The digital divide that currently existed has to be bridged, to ensure that persons with disabilities are not left behind.

The conference aims to

• Share good practices and the current direction of digital transformation in service provision for persons with disabilities.
• As the COVID-19 pandemic had boosted digital transformation, the discussions will also touch upon the lessons learnt from moving to online services for persons with disabilities.
• Furthermore, fighting the digital divide and finding the most relevant technologies in areas of service provision for persons with disabilities will be captured by the conference.

Lastly, EASPD also invites conference participants to its Gala Dinner, hosted in the European Parliament, on the evening of 13th October, and 25th Anniversary Party, hosted on the evening of 14th October.
