COFACE wants you to share your best practices on the inclusion of persons with disabilities

COFACE Families Europe has launched a public consultation about good practices for the meaningful inclusion of persons with disabilities, their families and carers which we want you to fill out!

COFACE Families Europe, the network representing families and family organisations in the EU and its Disability platform for the rights of persons with disabilities launched a public consultation about good practices for the meaningful inclusion of persons with disabilities, their families and carers.

This is done in the framework of the COFACE S.H.I.F.T. guide, which proposes 5 objectives, 15 tools, and 45 actions in the areas of Support, Human rights, Independence, Families and society Transition to achieve meaningful inclusion of persons with disabilities and their families.

EASPD supports this initiative and invites members and partners to share with COFACE and its disability platform any examples along the 45 SHIFT actions: a service, a city, an NGO, a school, a daycare, a law, an employer, a podcast, a website – any action which you believe is contributing today to the SHIFT.

The collected practices will feed in the creation of an atlas, which is especially important in light of the recent adoption of the 2021-2030 European Disability Rights Strategy in which the EU commits to fulfil the promises of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).

The survey is available in 15 languages, you can share practices and examples here by 11th July 2021.
