UNIC's 3rd Belgian Transferability Workshop: How do we scale up personal budgets regionally?
On Wednesday 15th February 2023, 11:00 CET, the UNIC's third Belgian Transferability Workshop will take place online.
The UNIC project is designed to develop tools to help public authorities, service users, and service providers to implement a user-centred funding model in long-term care and support. More specifically, the project partners are exploring how the Personal Budget system can help people who receive long term care and support to actively participate in organising their own support.
During the workshop, the transition from a traditional funding model to a personal budget one, within the region of Flanders, will be analysed. Two successful initiatives from Finland and Scotland will also be presented to show how personal budgets can support the organisation of services, and to showcase how co-production can increase the capacity of such models, developing a sustainable system.
At the end of the event, partners will present the Compliance Assurance Tool, developed through the UNIC project, which aims to support the staff of Public Authorities to design, develop and monitor a personal budget system in their region or country.
